Mostly made of letters

When given the task of 'drawing writing', I made an interpretation of it by drawing what the writing was actually saying. The drawing was about images being made mostly of letters, so I drew this meaning constructing it of only letters.

Book making!

I have been experimenting with different ways of making books!

Paterest final piece

I decided to continue making the cubes as the word paterest reflects a ruibx cube (as it is adaptable and can change easily.) I then focused on the colours of a rubix cube, and used these as the backgrounds of the cubes which the definitions of paterest are written on.. I also managed to do my first successful panaramic shot!

Video

After producing the video I decided to crop all the pictures and re-make it.. which took alot of time! But here's the finished video anyway.. The one that isn't cropped and that I completed first is underneath.

Making the 'Oxford street' video

After painting my background I set up a little studio thing and now I'm getting started on making my stop motion animation! I had no play-dough so I had to use home made play-dough instead out of flour, salt and oil... just hope it looks alright!

Finished book!

Oxford street chaos

I have decided to create a stop motion animation piece of people walking around oxford street during the sales season. for the background I have painted oxford street, of which I will cut out and fold so it stands up and creates a 3D background for my clay men.

CHAOS

For my new project I've decided to record chaos and been taking photos of different interpretations of it..

Actual finished book!

After a lot of moving things about I'm finally happy with the final layout of my booklet, all thats left to do now is print it!

Complete pages

I have now edited my text and have added pictures to go along side the writing. This is how I've designed them and hopefully what my finished book will look like!

Filming

I have filmed a few dives for my 'fanatical' project research and updated it on the project's blog. Here's just a little example of the films.

Diving project - book

My new project is to present something that you are fanatical about. I have decided to make a book about diving, and started to use indesign. Its quite confusing trying to get everything in line, but I think it's going okay! You can follow this indivial project on www.diving-sophieslade.blogspot.com

Diving project

I have decided to record, investigate and collect data on diving, and to launch a book explaining all the different elements in diving; from how dives are recorded to what judges look out for.

Paterest

Different ways of presenting my word with it's definition. My idea is to create a poster explaining it's meaning.

Paterest

I have now specialised in Graphic Design, and we have been experimenting with 'drawing text'. We came down to making up a word with a few letters of our text left over, and had to make up a new word and present it in different ways. My word is Paterest.

Multiples - "100 pegs"

A new project with Camberwell is 'multiples'. I've decided to buy 100 pegs, and create as many different sculptures as possible with them. My final piece will be presented as a book, hopefully by using 'lulu.com' to professionally make my book!
